Bring the Inner and Outer, the Seen and the Unseen, Closer Together

This started, like a lot of creative endeavors do, with a disappointment.

Hidden Threads Co Astrology and Tarot Planner

Read the Room

We both wanted something that allowed us to organize astrology and tarot into a ritual, an experience, and a system. We had both independently tried various options on the market and were equally underwhelmed by template formatting, generic language, and repeated spreads.

Astrology is always changing. Not all full moons carry the same weight and not all Taurus seasons feel the same, because the planets are always moving. Tarot also evolves over time, as does your relationship with your decks and your ability to find meaning in each card. We wanted the same level of nuance in a product that we couldn't find.

So, one day, when talking about our efforts (aka complaints) to find the perfect thing, Tashina looked at Elaine and said: What if we just made our own?

Tashina is an Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon, and Leo rising. She wants things to be clear and easy to understand. She wants you to be able to pick this planner up, open it, and not have to fuss with it. Tashina's 3rd house stellium with Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto naturally helps her shape big ideas into something that gets right to the heart of the matter without requiring you to wade through the excess. Her eye for precision and balance is its own form of beauty, even if she wouldn't describe it that way herself.

Since March 2024, Tashina has worked through multiple levels of structured coursework under a working astrologer, natal chart interpretation from the ground up, then advanced aspects work, the kind of study that goes well past a weekend workshop, layered on top of years of her own reading and practice before that. If you book a reading with her, you're not getting someone's best guess in the moment. You're getting someone who has put in the actual hours.

Cozy but Disruptive

One of the earliest decisions we made was to follow the astrological year instead of the calendar year. This planner starts with Aries season in March and ends with Pisces the following February. And that choice wasn't aesthetic. It was philosophical.

If you've ever explored astrology or tarot, you know that there is a lot of information to learn, interpret, and analyze, even before you can apply anything you've seen. We wanted to cut through that. Not by dumbing it down, but by curating it. By choosing the astrological events that are almost indisputably impactful throughout the year, the ones that create a rhythm you can feel: season starts, new and full moons, retrogrades, planets changing signs. After creating interpretations to understand how those transits will likely feel, we merged two adjacent disciplines together to create tarot spreads with questions designed to respond to that specific moment's astrological energy.

One of the things that continue to surprise us is how much we feel the energy of each season as we we create the content for it. While analyzing Gemini season, we were wildly chatty, full of tangents and stories, completely on brand for Gemini energy. During Leo season, we were having a blast and it felt like it flew by. Cancer season, which we both have a complicated relationship with in our charts, only took us 38 minutes, but it felt like seven hours. This is one of the best arguments for the planner working. The energy is that real.

If you walk into the room during any of our working sessions, you will see two women sitting on the floor with laptops, rosé (except during Scorpio season, which demands red wine, though still a bubbly Lambrusco, chilled), chips, chocolate, and tarot cards. We interpret all the astrology and then use the information to craft the perfect tarot questions. We do every single tarot spread in this planner ourselves. Every one. We try them all to make sure that we were getting to the heart of the energy we feel.

Meet Elaine

Elaine is a Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon, and Aries rising. She will talk about a single transit from six different angles and tweak a sentence until it sounds exactly right. She brings depth, beauty, and a tendency toward elaboration that her Jupiter conjunct Venus placement does a pretty good job of explaining. She wants things to feel like an experience. She wants the language to land in your body, not just your brain. And she will always, always want to say more about a topic than is strictly necessary.

Meet Tashina

Be Open to Being Surprised

Elaine pulls at Tashina's edges. Tashina places fences that Elaine either has to run into and justify, or try to convince her to jump over. It's a fun process, and it mirrors something we think a lot of people experience. Some of you want the essential information so you can take it and move. Some of you want to sit in it, simmer, contemplate, really let something unfold before you decide what to do with it. We represent both of those impulses, and the products we build hold space for both.

Balance Structure + Flow

Our goal is to create a space where people feel secure and supported enough to start noticing the subtle insights, intuition hits, and energy shifts, because we think that's one of the most valuable things you can do for yourself. Understand why you're doing the things you're doing and show up the way you want to show up.

We recognize that people live multifaceted lives, and most of us don't have the time or the mental space to notice how the different parts connect. We hope that the insights you get from this practice will become lenses you make decisions through. Action you can take. An orientation you can feel. Something that shifts the way you move through a week, a season, a year.

We hope our products feel like that friend you don't talk to every single day, but when you reach out, you fall right back into place with them. Because they're able to meet you right where you are, at any given moment, without needing you to catch them up or apologize for the gap.

The cultural pressure to be productive all the time, to perform all the time, to show up in the same way regardless of the season you're in, is not sustainable. It's not even realistic. And we think that one of the most powerful things our products can offer is permission to navigate through the structure and flow of life. To be fiery when it's time for fire. To be still when it's time to be still. Most importantly, to not need to be always anything.

We are here to bring the inner and outer and the seen and the unseen closer together. And we are so glad you're here.
